Workshop Policies
Thank you for your interest in workshops with Jan Henderson.
Before sending your deposit for any workshop, please ensure that you have read and agree with all of the Policies below.
Deposits
Thank you for sending your deposit in advance of the workshop.
Your deposit secures your spot in the workshop and helps with the costs of administration.
Your deposit is not refundable, but is transferable to a future workshop for the same participant, or someone you know who is interested.
The remainder of the fee is due on the first day of class.
Cancellation
If a participant cancels in advance of the workshop, and the full cost of the workshop has been paid already, it will be refunded, but the deposit will be held.
If a participant has already started the course, and needs to leave due to emergency, illness, or injury, they will be refunded for the days that they will miss.
If Fool Moon cancels the workshop for any reason, (ex. not getting the minimum number of students, act of God, or a public health emergency), then the participants will get the full amount back, or a credit.
Covid-19
Fool Moon Productions and Small Matters Productions’ staff, artists, volunteers, and in-person workshop participants are subject to this policy and guidelines.
We are mask friendly here, so if you would like to wear a mask, then we encourage you to wear one when you feel you must.
Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required for all facilitators and participants.
People are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after they have received a minimum of two doses of a Health Canada authorized vaccine. Boosters are recommended, but not required.
Requests for Accommodations pertaining to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, based upon one of the Grounds of Discrimination as outlined in the Canadian Human Rights Act, are to be submitted in writing prior to paying the deposit and will be reviewed by the facilitator.
If a participant is feeling ill, or exhibiting any of the COVID-19 Symptoms, please test and advise the facilitator on your health status.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include, but are not limited to: new or worsening cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, temperature equal to or more than 38°C, feeling feverish, chills, fatigue or weakness, muscle or body aches, new loss of smell or taste, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting.
If a participant tests positive for COVID-19 5 days prior to a workshop, they will be fully reimbursed and the next person on the waitlist will be contacted to fill that spot.
If a participant tests positive for COVID-19 during a workshop, they will be given a credit for a future workshop based on the amount of hours they missed since that spot was held for them.
Note that this COVID Policy is subject to change based on the current COVID-19 situation and advisories from health officials. This policy is written with the intent of keeping the safety and best interests of Fool Moon Productions staff, employees, contractors, artists, volunteers, and workshop participants in mind. It is acknowledged that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.
